About the Doctor!Dr. Spagnolo-Hye ~ Dr. Spags Carol Lee Spagnolo-Hye, DO, known to her patients as “Dr. Spags,” joined AbraKIDabra Pediatrics in July of 2011. Dr. Spags is originally from Westchester County, New York. In 1997 she graduated from John F. Kennedy Catholic High School. She then attended The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. In 2001, Dr. Spags graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work. Knowing she would eventually become a Pediatrician, Dr, Spags chose a major in Social Work so that she could not only provide excellent medical care, but also be an advocate for both her patients and their families.
Dr. Spags went on to study medicine at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She and her husband, Scott Spagnolo-Hye, DO were happy to return to New York for her pediatric residency at The Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. After graduating from her residency in 2008, Dr. Spags moved to Florida where she began practicing Pediatrics. On her time off, Dr. Spags enjoys travelling to various beaches with her favorite being Cape May, NJ and St. Thomas. She also looks forward to her annual vacation to Disney World with her family. Dr. Spags also enjoys watching competitive gymnastics and hockey. She participated in both of these sports when she was younger and hopes to one day see these sports live at the Olympic Games. |
